John E. Julian Memorial Scholarship
The John E. Julian Memorial Scholarship fund provides an opportunity for a High School Senior to receive a scholarship to help fund their continuing education. John highly valued education and would be pleased to know that donations made in his memory, allow students to achieve their fullest potential. The student chosen for the John E. Julian Memorial Scholarship will be pursuing studies in civics, political science or government. For Scholarship information, contact scholarship@johnejulian.org.
2008 John E. Julian Memorial Scholarship Recipient
The 7th Annual John E. Julian Memorial Scholarship was awarded to: Kaitlin O'Konis
Kaitlin is a graduate of Stafford High School and is attending Western NE College in Springfield MA studying International Business.
Total awards given in 2004 equaled $56,100 to 36 young people.
The 2005 Golf Tournament was great success!
$6,000 was raised for the Scholarship Foundation!
The 2006 Golf Tournament raised $5,000.00 for
the Stafford Youth Center and the John E. Julian Scholarship Fund this year.
The 2007 Golf Tournament had another great year!
Of the total $6,000 raised, $1,000.00 was donated to the Scholarship Fund.
Past John E. Julian Memorial Scholarship Recipients
The 6th Annual 2007 John E. Julian Memorial Scholarship was awarded to: Trisha Bogar
Trisha, of Union CT and a graduate of Woodstock Academy will attend Connecticut College to study Journalism. Trisha received $2,000.00 from the John E. Julian Fund.
Additional funds of $3,000.00 were donated to the Stafford Fish & Game Club's Children's Fishing Derby from the 6th annual John E. Julian Memorial Golf Tourney.
The 2006 scholarship was awarded to:
Jennifer DaDalt
Jennifer has been the student representative to the Board of Education.
The 2005 scholarship was awarded to:
Kathyrn Staley
SHS Senior going to UMASS to study Journalism.
A scholarship of $1,750 was awarded.
The 2004 scholarship was awarded to:
Joanna Warren
Attending Central Connecticut State University to study criminology
A scholarship of $1,350 was awarded.
The 2003 scholarship was awarded to:
Lewis Barry III
Attending UCONN (Liberal Arts Major)
Salutatorian of the Class of 2003, Stafford High School
Band 1, 2, 3 ,4 * Jazz Band 3 * National Honor Society 3, 4

The 2002 scholarship was awarded to:
Mee Loo
Stafford High School graduate majoring in Global Studies
A scholarship of $250 was awarded.
